When the first settlers arrived in the Samoan archipelago over two millennia ago, they brought with them what may be considered the most valuable of assets: inquisitive minds.
This spirit of inquiry was motivated by a search to sustainably bend nature to their will with the aim of making life more comfortable and enriching, a spirit captured by the word "sogasogā."
